Behind every Nike innovation is a community of scientists, designers and engineers. That community’s hard work isn’t always so visible. While new products take centre stage, consumers rarely get to see the untold tales of design thinking, audience insights and sports science that make their favorite shoes a reality. Nike wanted to pull back the curtain on their innovative moments and build an immersive retail experience,

B—2 Concept Direction
The construction of a “cornerstone” for the athletic community and a place visitors will remember and to make an impact locally on the city and neighborhood surrounding it - which reveals how and why Nike’s innovation is paramount to athletics at large.

A. Structure
HOI : Our team consisted of 4 designers - a multi-disciplinary team of half retail and half story designers

B. Art Direction
2 Members of the team worked primarily in the art & creative direction

C. External Members
Additionally the team worked with the broader Nike company & hired contractors, vendors & an Architect of Record

Work

01. Scope
The project scope included tearing down the entire existing store and rebuilding it as a flagship “beacon” of the Future of Nike. In order to achieve this we had to work with local external vendors, contractors & an architect of record to deliver a complete overhaul of Nike’s retail design system.
